Abstract:
The main objective of the project was to develop a system that includes the remote control
system for the computer in Android application using WIFI. This work presents an Android
based application that control the functionality of the mouse and keyboard of the computer
using the WIFI. The project is consisted of two major phases i.e. server side client side
(Android Device). The development of the system is carried out using Eclipse Integrated
Development Environment (IDE) and by Software development Kit Android (SDK). The
developed application is capable of controlling the power point slides and can give a special
timer functionality for professional presentation platform. It control the functionality of
computer by making the connection between the computer and smart phone. The different
modules of this application have been implemented using android-support-v4-jar library (for
library of programming functions), Extensible Mark-up Language (XML). A specific IP code
is given to the system for which the internet connection (WIFI) is required, it approves the IP
code and then the connection is verified if the IP is valid. The communication between the
mobile and computer is perform within a range of WIFI signals. Finally the control of the
mouse and keyboard of computer is fully empower to the mobile application.
