dc.description.abstract Due to the growing power of communication industry wireless communication brought a revolutionary change and become the largest medium of providing high-speed and high-quality information globally. On the basis of encountering confluence of several issues regarding error free communication, engineers are more obsessing towards the betterment of wireless communication since 1960 and now their eager of obsessing is turning into curiosity. With the increasing demand of wireless connectivity, there are lots of problems that occur on the channel of communication regarding the availability of bandwidth become more deficient for wireless application. Therefore, the main destination for the engineers in modern communication system is that how to improve data rate without expansion of bandwidth. To overcome this problem, the systems are being designed spectrally efficient and less costly by using different coding techniques and algorithms keeping the bandwidth constant. Therefore, the two wireless communication schemes, which can be used to efficaciously combat with multipath fading, are widely investigated around the global scale. One is MIMO technology and the second is OFDM as it uses the ability of extreme spectral efficiency. A MIMO system demands an environment rich in multipath. The research is being conducted to explore the idea of making better progress in enhancing the data rate and manipulating transmission reliability. Because higher data rate is much more demanding so the factors like quality service, higher network capacity and fewer calls increases spectral efficiency and reliability of wireless communication such as MIMO-OFDM. MIMO is a special word given to communication system of having multiple antennas at both the base station and mobile station en_US
