dc.description.abstract This study is aimed at examining the effect of spiritual leadership on organizational performance and also exploring the mediating effect of organizational mindfulness between spiritual leadership and organizational performance. A total sample size of 417 respondents was collected through web-based and physical survey conducted in private, public and not for profit organizations in Pakistan. The collected data was analyzed sing Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The findings suggest that spiritual leadership has a positive effect on organizational performance and organizational mindfulness mediates the relationship between spiritual leadership and organizational performance. Moreover this study has also validated a tool for spiritual leadership. The limitation of this study was the time constraint and the inability to study longitudinal data as it could have yielded clearer results. Moreover the scope of the study did not allow for qualitative analysis to be conducted, as it could have given an in depth and a scholarly understanding of the variables. It is expected that this study would develop sound grounds for future research in the field of spirituality, spiritual leadership and organizational mindfulness by helping develop more conscious, stable, adaptive and yielding organizations through exploring spiritual Leadership and organizational mindfulness with context to organizational performance. As integrated as the globe is, there is still a long way till we achieve the managerial standards to yield maximum growth for organizations and the economy. The main aim of this study is to explore the effect of a leader’s spirituality on the level of organizational performance and to give a tone to an ever taught concept of spirituality at an organizational level by helping individuals leverage their innate tendency to connect with one God and ultimately become an integral part in initially the growth of an organization and ultimately the economy at large. en_US
