Abstract:
Purpose: The main aim of this research is to determine impact ofjob stress on employee
performance in banking industry. The banking industry is reporting the problem of increasing
stress among their employees which results in decreasing performance and spreading
negativity among the firm. In order to examine this impact the research undermines a
quantitative research methodology followed by a deductive research approach.
Methodology: The research possesses a sample size of 300 respondents while, the research
variable includes (independent variables: Job Security, workload, lack of motivation, working
environment, & role ambiguity) whereas, the dependent variable is performance of employees.
The research utilizes Regression analysis for findings out the impact while, Cronbach alpha
for testing the reliability.
Findings: The findings from the reliability test shows that, the internal consistency of the
research variables is acceptable as well as, the research scale too. Most importantly the findings
from the Regression test show that, all the research variables have significant impact of
employee performance except the Working environment which is insignificant having the Sig.
P value higher than 0.05. In conclusion the research highlights the fact that, the regression
shows an impact of 49% variation in the employee performance, which provides
