Abstract:
Purpose:
The main objective of this study is to determine those factors that have a major impact
on the process of lean supply chain implementation. This research is carried out to
analyze the influence of those barriers on the lean implementation process.
Methodology:
Deductive approach was adopted for this research which means hypothesis were
developed based on relevant literature, which was analyzed, and then questionnaire
developed to acquire data from respondents. This research is of Quantitative
nature. Statistical tools such as Correlation and regression analysis are being used to
analyze the data. The target population is undefined, so convenient sampling strategy is
used for this research. 320 questionnaires were sent to the respondents out of which
228 responses are to be considered which means a response rate of 71.25%.

Findings:
The result analysis shows that there is a positive impact of lean implementation
However, Among the 4 independent variables, 3 are considered to have an impact on
include leadership, training and development and lean implementation that
communications; their impact is significant with p-values of 0.011, 0.003 and 0.006
respectively. However, the impact of job security on lean implementation is a positive
one but non-significant with p-value of 0.115.
Implications:
This study reveals that lean implementation i.e. Continuous Improvement (Cl) program
carries significant place in supply chain. However, this process of lean implementation
relies on factors like leadership from top management, training and development of
employees and communications. Job security is not considered an important factor for
lean implementation. This research will be useful for organization looking to implement
lean practices and the analysis done in this research may be beneficial for academic
circles too.
