Abstract:
Purpose - This study aims to offer insight the impact of team member exchange on team level outcomes. And outcomes are being indicated by Team Commitment, Team Conflict and Team Innovation. Additionally, the author hypothesized and tested the mediating role of Speaking Out. Design – Quantitative data was collected from 250 employees working in Information Technology sector to examine the connection between Team Member Exchange, Team Level Outcomes and Speaking out. Findings – The results showed that TMX is positively related with team level outcomes and also Speaking out has a significant impact of Team level Outcomes. Research Limitations – This research can be extended in multiple ways. First, future research could be conducted in an individualistic culture. Secondly future researchers could analyze other team level outcome predictors at different levels. Lastly, experimental and longitudinal designs could be adopted. Practical Implications - The findings of this study offer suggestions on maintaining exchange rates among team members. It suggests that managers should focus on building an environment of understanding and supporting each other. Originality – This research develops an understanding of TMX, Team Level Outcomes and Speaking out by figuring the relationship among them and also provides an empirical evidence of the argument that Team Member Exchange impacts team level outcomes
