Abstract:
Literature reveals that project human resource is essential need of organizations involved in execution and operationalization of projects. Skills, capabilities, and competencies of workforce is most important and strategic edge for organizations. To acquire such workforce for projects there are various strategies implemented worldwide. This research focuses on joint education and training, service and consulting, and research activities by higher educational institutes and industries involved in project management to develop readily available human resource for project. This research is of quantitative nature to examine the relationship between industrial academic linkages and project human resource development, already existing questionnaire was adopted to collect data for variables. After collection of data it was further analyzed by using data analysis software’s like SPSS. Finding of this research suggest that education and training, service and consulting, and research activities jointly arranged by both higher educational institutes and organizations involved will provide readily available skilled, capable and competent workforce for executional and operationalization phases of projects
