dc.description.abstract There are a lot of mobility management schemes which are based on IP and developed to meet the requirement of mobility management in IoT such as HMIPv4, DHMIP, Proxy MIPv4 (PMIPv4) and so on. The Wireless Body Area Network is one of the mobility network in IoT which needs mobility management. Therefore, PMIPv6, CoAP-PMIP, and CoAP-CPMIP are designed for this purpose but none of them are suitable for group mobility management in Wireless Body Area Network. Because these protocol are designed with two main components such as Mobility Anchor (LMA) and Mobile Access Gateway (MAG) for purpose of providing mobility management to the network without participating the mobile nodes (MNs) for mobility signaling. These protocols with these two components are working well with small scale group mobility network. However, when the number of MNs or traffic increases then they will cause many limitations such as handover latency, non-optimized path, and single point failure. Therefore, in this work we proposed distributed proxy mobile IPv6 based on COAP protocol and without LMA for group mobility management to reduce handover latency, and optimized path for both data and control packets en_US
