| dc.description.abstract | The augmented reality is trending in mobile now-a-days, in which virtual content is seamlessly integrated with displays of real-world scenes, is a growing area of interactive design. With the rise of personal mobile devices capable of producing interesting augmented reality environments, the vast potential of AR has begun to be explored. Mobile AR is mainly available whenever people require an informational support for a focused task. The main aim of this project is to develop an android application through which the user is guided about the surrounding objects that are close to user’s current location by adding an informational overlay of digital augmented content. Users can get the desired information about their point of interests in no time. Point of interests may include buildings, restaurants, coffee shops etc. The application will place the augmented informational overlays over the point of interests with their complete description. The users can also find the distance from their current position to some point of interest by just pointing the smart-phone camera towards the particular point of interest. By using this application user will also be guided about the ongoing activity/event details (if applicable) occurring in a building or about to happen in future. i | en_US |
