dc.description.abstract Sinjhoro field is gas producing block and is situated in Sanghar district about 65 km Northeast of Hyderabad city and 22.5 km Northwest of Sanghar in Sindh province. It is in eastern limb of Lower Indus Basin. Its latitude and longitude are 26° 1' 50.4120'' N and 68° 48' 28.4652'’E respectively. Well logs of Chak 63-1 and Chak 66-1 were obtained from Landmark Resources (LMKR), after getting approval from Directorate General of Petroleum Concession (DGPC). Petrophysical analysis of Chak 63-1 and Chak 66-1 were performed to identify the reservoir zone on the basis of resistivity log and gamma ray log, one zone in each well were identified at the depth of 2846.5m to 2849m and 3007m to 3016m respectively. From different trends of log, values were calculated of volume of shale, volume of clean, density porosity, effective porosity, average porosity, saturation of water and saturation of hydrocarbons in the marked zones. The average values of saturation of hydrocarbon in the marked zones of Chak 63-01 and Chak 66-01 are 33.05 and 37.66 respectively, the other petro physical properties of both the wells lies in the required criteria for it to be a potential reservoir. Based on these analyses confirm that Lower Guru is an economic hydrocarbon potential reservoir en_US
