dc.description.abstract This thesis aims to interpret the subsurface geology of our study area using seismic interpretation techniques as well as identification of potential hydrocarbon bearing horizons using petro physical analysis. The seismic dataset acquired from LMKR comprised of five migrated 2D seismic lines of Darya Khan, Punjab Platform. The entire suite of wire line logs of Darbula-01 were also acquired for petro physical analysis. Using our time-depth chart, we marked three reflectors namely Salt Range Formation, Khewra Sandstone and Kussak Formation. The relevant information from the time sections was used to convert the time sections into depth sections. Stratal variations were observed in the form of NE-SW dip of the strata. A monocline structure was observed as they were no faults were marked on the seismic sections because the area is tectonically stable with negligible deformation. The time contour maps were generated using the time-depth chart and then time sections were transformed to depth sections using average velocities. These contour maps help us understand the tectonic setting of the area and to correlate values of well tie matching. en_US
