dc.description.abstract This thesis aims to interpret the subsurface geology of study area using seismic interpretation techniques as well as identification of potential hydrocarbon bearing horizons using petrophysical analysis. The seismic dataset acquired from Landmark Recourses (LMKR) comprised of five migrated 2D seismic lines of Sara and Suri fields. Sara and Suri fields are located at the eastern border of Pakistan. Adjacent to it, Bikaner- Nagaur Basin lies in India which also has good potential of hydrocarbon exploration. In Pakistan, Sara and Suri fields are currently operated by Jurra Energy with joint venture of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). Structural interpretation of the area confirms that horst and graben structures along with normal faults are present in Sara and Suri area. Petro-physical analysis results of Sara and suri area shows that the C sands has good potential produce hydrocarbons. Whereas Daud X-01 does not show any hydrocarbons en_US
