| dc.description.abstract | A disaster isa serious disruption of the functioning of a community or a society involving widespread human, material, economic or environmental losses and impacts, which exceeds the ability of the affected community or society to cope using its own resources. Disasters can be classified into two broad categories. The first is natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes, tornadoes or earthquakes. While preventing a natural disaster is very difficult. The second category is manmade disasters, such as hazardous material spills, infrastructure failure, bio-terrorism, and disastrous IT bugs or failed change implementations. GSM and Android Based Disaster Management System is an emergency alert system which work in two parts. The one part is the admin panel and the second one is the android application. This application is developed to facilitate in the emergency systems by sharing their current locations, and giving the alert to the concerning departments according to the emergency, so that they can easily allocate the location of any incidents. By the push notification from the application help in time saving and easily allocate the disaster place. People suffer every day from many difficult incidents and many people are unaware of them and no one is there to incidentally report of the situation. With the help of GSM and Android base system the agent will easily report about any emergency situation by a simple push notification to the related emergency andthe concerning authorities will be alarmed by sending them a message popup in which location is also send to the authorities that in which place the incident occur. Agent will also report about the incident to the other agents which are nearer to the agent. | en_US |
