dc.description.abstract This study content analysed the coverage of leading Pakistani and Indian newspapers on the Kashmir conflict. Adopting the Peace and War Journalism model by John Galtung, the study used the eventual and thematic frames in the coverage of both countries’ newspapers on the issue. 264 stories from both the countries’ newspapers in the time frame of one year (July 2017 to June 2018) were used for the analysis. The study found that coverage of Pakistani newspapers was peace oriented, whereas, the coverage in the Indian newspapers was war oriented on the issue of Kashmir. The study showed that both countries considered each other as foe. Both the countries are claiming ownership to Kashmir en_US
