dc.description.abstract The study analysis the relationship between the term “gender” and “criminality” in the perspective of the different crimes committed in Pakistan. It highlights the common and different factors of different crimes committed by both genders and explains the difference in their criminal behavior and reasons. It analyses that what factors bring a person to a point where he/she commits crimes. Also to examine the law system of Pakistan related to the difference in legal proceedings and judgments for both gender perspective. A qualitative research was conducted via semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The study locale included the Central Jail Rawalpindi also known as “Adyala jail”. The data collected was analyzed using thematic analysis from the transcribed interviews. The main themes emerged consisted of poverty, religious, family issues and property issues which are mostly the causes for crimes in Pakistan by both genders in their own patterns. Followed by the legal proceedings in which the female gender has an advantage over male. The study also talks about the different crime patterns belonging to specific class systems. The study is basic in its very basic concept as it highlights the aspects of different criminal behaviors, their motivations and patterns, also what is the end results of these criminals and life in prison. en_US
