dc.description.abstract | Asthma and COPD are two different lung diseases with a different treatment, but both are pulmonary disorders, and severity of one result in the occurrence of the other. The study documents the Provincial level Intervention trial on Asthma and COPD and explores the risk factors, the social and economic challenges faced by a person suffering from Asthma and COPD, if patients seek an alternative treatment in Asthma and COPD. This is a purely qualitative study and the data was collected through Purposive and Snowball sampling from 3 hospitals in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The research also includes the analysis of the content that was designed by Association for social Development and University of Leeds along with National Program for Non-Communicable diseases. The findings reflected that Social and Economic challenges are the most important factors when we discuss about the disease burden in any Country, about any Disease. Especially in developing countries like Pakistan where prevalence of such diseases is common. This research may be significant in determining the social and economic factors of the disease, which are not yet addressed in any research | en_US |
