dc.description.abstract Continuous decreasing rate of water forces the need of irrigation system that would decrease the wastage of water. Hence solar powered Smart Irrigation System provides a perfect solution by providing the proper amount of water at proper time by using the renewable energy source i.e. solar energy. This system would provide water to the fields whenever the water is needed by the crop. It would sense the radiations coming from the sun and the moisture of the soil and it will take decision based on these. Results have shown that the water wastage of the field could be reduced by 50% of normal irrigation wastage. Other than this, farmers won’t have to continuously check the crop to see whether crop needs water or not. By using the soil moistures and weather station this intelligent system can be improved. Weather station would keep check on multiple factors like wind speed, humidity, solar radiations etc. The brain of the system can be the Arduino Uno micro controller that would take decision based on the code that is burnt in it. en_US
