Abstract:
Prosthetics are artificial limbs that can replace the body parts of human in case of accident. The Prosthetics development starts from the mechanical hook to the latest available Electromyography (EMG) based prosthetic hand. The laborers who belongs to poor family once lost their body parts in accidents are unable to do anything and they ultimately became hopeless. They cannot afford such prosthetics due to the unavailability and expensiveness of available products. There are many solutions that are available in market like Be-bionics, touch Bionics but they lack user attention due to high prices and lack of feedback control. The Solution proposed is to design the product in a cheap way so that it can be affordable to poor people. The design is able to provide a functionality of producing specific movements in smooth and robust manner. The solution is mainly comprised of following attributes. Firstly, 3d-printing technology is used to form a simple but solid design of hand module. Secondly, to implement an efficient DC Actuation System which performs multiple task to nearly act like a normal human. Lastly, to design the Closed loop system by actuating the position of servo motors for performing specific gesture of hand. The final result is the designing of complete model which has abilities to replicate human hand.
