dc.description.abstract | Major contributions in agriculture and cultivation of our country are from the rural areas. Water is the most important need of people mainly farmers for their agriculture and cultivation. To dig out water from the well and for its circulation, electricity is used that drives those submersible pumps and other machines that are used in spreading it. Grid transmission lines that are being spread in rural areas have high transmission losses estimated 11 kV lines are 13199 GWh, in 132 kV lines are 1906 GWh, in 220 kV and 500 kV are 2656 GWh and other auxiliaries are 2647 GWh approximately in Pakistan. These transmission line losses can have an adverse effect on economy. So, due to the availability of excessive sunlight in rural areas, solar powered systems for water pumping can prove effective with minimum number of losses. Other generator systems used in rural areas are cost inefficient and cause too much pollution. These systems are quite easy to install, are cost efficient, non-palliative environment will be there with no fuel that is to be fed. | en_US |
