dc.description.abstract During the recent decade PV inverter technologies have developed a lot. With the increasing energy crises in most of the underdeveloped countries the need of the efficient and low cost inverters is increasing day by day. The problem in most of the inverters available nowadays is there bigger size and high cost. Since sunlight (sun energy) is the most economical, rich origin of electricity so it is the need of the time to build an inverter which is smaller in size, efficient and low in cost. Micro-Inverter is a device which is use for conversion of “DC voltage obtained from PV Panel into 220v AC voltage”. As we know that most of the home appliances need 220V AC to work so it is important to step up and invert the voltage obtained from solar panels. In our view the inverters can be made much smaller in size which in turn will require less components and hence it will be much lower in cost. The main purpose of our project is building an Inverter using the High Frequency Fly back Transformer, MOSFET switches and PIC controller in an efficient way to Invert 12v DC voltage into 220v AC voltage. It is possible to divide the entire process in two parts:- (1) To step-up 12v DC to approximately 315v DC. (2) To invert 315v DC to 220v AC. en_US
