Abstract:
The study refers to the impact of workers/labour relations, in the context of human rights violations, on industrial productivity, with special reference to industrial setup in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. If the employees' are motivated to perform the assigned tasks and the employers' are fully aware of their statutory rights and provide them with the working environment tailored in the light of those rights then there is no reason of lower industrial productivity. The variable factors Money and compensation, Personnel life, Working relationship, Status, Quality of supervision, Company policies/administration and Job security are interrelated and have strong and direct effect on the industrial productivity. All these factors positively motivate labor force towards the attainment of their assigned task/goals, which increases industrial productivity. The challenging tasks, advancement, personal growth and recognition is necessary for an employee's positive reinforcement which affect his performance, as a result industrial productivity rises. When employees enjoy their jobs, find work challenging and like the work environment, they will usually put forth their best efforts and perform their tasks enthusiastically. Jan other words, they are motivated to produce at optimal output. On the other hand if they find employer exploiting their legislative rights it creates an environment of dissatisfaction and the dissatisfaction always leads to the lower productivity. I The population of our research study mainly consists on employees (all kind of labor force) and employers (industrialists). The sample consists of the relevant industrial population of Rawalpindi/Islamabad. As for as collection and analysis of data is concerned, two questionnaires were used, one for employer and one for employees. Most of the questions were close ended . Frequency and percentage distribution were used to determine the relationships of the perceptions. Weighted mean was computed to establish the scores of the subject/respondents for each item in the questionnaire. From the interpretations and analysis of questionnaire of both employers and employees the hypothesis was analyzed, which refers to impact on industrial productivity, affected by violation of workers rights and privileges. By providing them the rights fairly and justly industrial output can be increased. If the workers are satisfied, this will positively motivate workers toward the attainment of their duties and put forth their best effort to enhance their output as a result industrial productivity will increase.
