dc.description.abstract | The topic of the research study is " The use of automated database in the hotels of Islamabad and the reaction of employees about it". This i's a Basic research. Basic or fundamental research is a type of research that is done chiefly to improve our understanding of certain problems that commonly occur in organizational settings, and how to solve them . It is also called pure research . The findings from such research contribute to the building of knowledge in the various management areas . In this case the research will provide knowledge about the improvements needed in the hotels of Islamabad about the ways of their data handling . The factors are described that affect the use of automatic databases in the hotels, and are widely explained in the literature review. Another reason for conducting the literature review was to explain the importance of the tourist industry for a country, and the importance of data management for any business. The impact of the factors is then analyzed by the reaction of the employees of the selected hotels. The reaction is observed by circulating survey questionnaires in the selected hotels, and then the data collected is treated through statistical tools to reach the conclusions. The researcher to find out how many hotels in Islamabad are using automated databases has also conducted short and informal interviews. A comparison is also done between our top hotels and a hotel Dubai, to observe where we stand against the top hotels of the world . The conclusions and recommendations are given in chapter no 5, which can help the hotels of Islamabad improve themselves. | en_US |
