dc.description.abstract | This topic mainly encompasses the broadband technology and its future in Pakistan. As we have seen that over a period of time great advancements have been taken place in the field of information and technology. As a result of this revolution new technologies have emerged and more new technologies are on their way into the market. Broadband is basically enough two way transmission capacity and speed to allow high quality full motion video, data and voice applications simultaneously via one medium and channel. The term broadband was originally used to describe a channel with more bandwidth than a standard voices grade channel, which is usually, a 48 kHz link. Today, this term is used for networks having bandwidths significantly greater than those found in telephony networks (2 MB per second). Broadband techniques usually depend upon coaxial or optical cable for transmission but can be delivered using wireless communication as well. They use multiplexing to permit the simultaneous operation of multiple channels or services on a single media. This research report is basically divided into seven parts. The first chapter "Problem and its background" basically present the "technical arm" of the whole report and mainly encompasses Introduction, Problem statement, Objective, Significance, Scope and Limitations of the study. All of these sections include the text and data that describes the broadband technology and its future in Pakistan. The second chapter of the report is the "Literature Review" in which the research work of various researchers has been gathered and accumulated as the lV secondary data to my topic of research. This secondary data has been collected and gathered from various Articles, Magazines, Books, Journals, Newspapers and the Internet. The third chapter, which is the "Research Methodology", has not been discussed in great details because this study is basically secondary data based . As a result the remaining sections of this chapter are also not discussed in the report. As the report is secondary data based the chapter four which is the "Interpretation and Analysis" is also not been discussed the reason being that the research is secondary data based. Chapter five of the report gives the Summary of findings, Conclusions and Recommendations , which are drafted out from the whole report in order to see that what the future of broadband technology in Pakistan is. The finding from this report tells that in case of Pakistan which is a developing country it is necessary to adopt the modern technologies in order to keep the pace of progress and development consistent. Moreover the report also tells that there are certain areas and fields in Pakistan where there is need to introduce the technology which include Medical field, Education field, Agriculture field as Pakistan is an agricultural country, Tourism as there are world's beautiful tourists sites in Pakistan. In addition to this, the report also tells that broadband technology can also be very useful in the area of E commerce. Different organizations in Pakistan can adopt the technology and can render quick and efficient services to their clients all over. The conclusion of this report tells that broadband technology is a comprehensive source of reliable information to plan, implement and maintain today's v environment. In short broadband technology is the major source of development in every sphere and aspect of life in modem world and is also a basis of all technological advancements . The last chapter of the research is about the References/Bibliography stated alphabetically , these are basically the sources from where the data has been collected. | en_US |
