Mr. hope: a smart conversational agent for medical diagnosis

Abstract

An AI based agent is the one which can help in many aspects, in this case it provides medical assistance to its users based on their symptoms, there could be different scenarios and different cases in which the agent can be used. In most cases an AI agent is thought to be something which can think itself but there are some parameters on which it operates, although it doesn’t think itself, but it predicts the outcomes based on user input. A smart conversational agent is like an assistance which is available for use whenever someone wants to use it. We call it a smart agent because of its ability to map symptoms provided by the user to the most probable problems or diseases against them. It does not need any kind of appointment. It can be used for such daily problems which people face and ignore them. As the diagnosis provided by the agent is not that accurate but it is enough to get an idea about what problem one is really facing. The main purpose of the project is to build something which is beneficial for its users in every aspect. The agent is based purely on Natural Language Understanding and Natural Language rocessing and an open source platform which provides all the assistance for training of data. A medical API is used to get the most accurate results based on the symptoms provided by the users. The API itself is created to serve such purposes. The agent is a great application for day to day problems or if the patient is somewhere where doctor is not available. i
