dc.description.abstract | Pharmacia Upjohn and Abbott Laboratories are two of the leading pharmaceutical giants in the market today. Their operations date back almost a century i.e. 1853 and 1914 respectively. In this report, the researcher has made an attempt to explain the organization a.( structure as well as the selected human resource practices (recruitment and retention) of Pharmacia and Abbott. The research mainly places emphasis on the above mentioned HR practices, because they systematically forecast the future of the organization. At the beginning of the research, an introduction has been given about the companies, mentioned above. Out of the whole situation, some research questions were developed upon which the whole study has based. The study was further expanded by the significance followed by the scope and limitations, which covered the ultimate benefits that could be derived for the potential beneficiaries of the research. The researcher has also discussed the research methodology which relates to the purpose and nature of the study. A formal analysis was carried out on the data gathered from the companies. The project was summarized and concluded on the basis of the findings followed by necessary recommendations. | en_US |
