Web Based MS Project Work Flow Management Tool

Abstract

In software project management, managing people is important because it is cost effective and time saving mechanism for an operational organization. Manager should keep track of every employee and their work which is assigned, where the team work operations take place. The purpose of web based MS project work flow management tool is to facilitate the higher authorities, management and employee in various aspects, so that they get update on every activity of the project which is going on. The Higher Authority can track the management performance using the Web Base MS Project Tool and HR Manager can assign task to the employee, and keep track on employee performance. Employee can update their task at any time by using their Personal Computer, using Web Application or by using Android Smart Phone. The web based MS project work flow management tool includes desktop app, web app as well as android app that will help the manager to keep track of the performance of employee. Manager can see the progress of different projects and assign tasks anywhere at any time and with the help of this tool employee can update their tasks percentage and view their assigned tasks at anywhere. This will be only possible with ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous computing defines computing everywhere so we are implementing this concept and allows user to use this Tool where ever or whenever he/she wants to at any time where the Internet Connectivity is possible. With the help of context aware system, the core system will automatically collect the employee contact information to notify them according to the employee’s current assignments. The system observes starting, ending and pending tasks dates and notify to the manager, higher authorities and employee by emailing and SMS.
