Abstract:
This topic under research is one, which is always undertaken from teacher perspective. But researcher study will cover the both perspectives of teacher and students. •The main theme of researcher study is what they both think and perceive about the effectiveness of different teaching methodologies. And also which method of teaching most affects the student learning process. The research is based upon the effective teaching methodology as perceived by the students. Researcher main dimension is to analyze different teaching methodologies and its effect on student learning process. Geographically the area that researcher have chosen for conducting surveys is universities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Researcher respondents are of two groups i.e. Teachers and students and also researcher respondents are according to Educational level i.e., Graduate and Undergraduates. The variables included in this category are as follows, 1:Case based teaching 2: Class room assessment 3: Course design and planning 4: Discussion 5: Group work and cooperative learning 6: Lectures and large classes 7: Student motivation 8: Problem based learning To answer the null hypotheses raised in the study, the Pearson 'r' coefficient of correlation was applied. At 5% level of significance the computation revealed the results as: • There is slightly positively co1Telation exists between the Group work, Cooperate Learning, testing and grading issues effecting the student learning process according to the perception of the Group (teachers and students). • There is a highly negative correlation exists between the Course design and planning, Classroom assessment techniques, Audio and visual aids, Group work and cooperate learning, testing and grading issues, Multiculturalism/Diversity in teaching affecting the student learning process and it is concluded that there is no significant relationship exists according Lo the Educational (Graduates and Undergraduate) group of respondents.
