Class companion

Abstract

People around the world are taking initiatives to reduce paperwork likewise HEC recommends teachers to adopt new teaching methods like conducting online quizzes and assignments. This would not only save paper but also lessen the hardships of a teacher who is always busy in checking the papers, looking for plagiarism in assignments, managing different classes and keeping all records while providing resources of that course to each student. On the other hand, students are always looking for where their next class will be, which assignments are due submission and forgetting about the quizzes. Class Companion an iOS app that will not only benefit teachers and students but also increase productivity, promote responsible writing in a cut-and-paste culture, reduce the use of unoriginal content (plagiarism), punctuality and ease the students from maintaining lab journals too. The main purpose of this app is that it notifies he students of their schedule, it reminds them of their due assignments and quizzes. Students have the access of resources uploaded by the teachers to help them. On the other hand, teachers will be receiving plagiarism detected assignments in time. Class would be more productive than before. Making the announcements would be a lot easier and teachers could respond to student’s query even after the office hours. The app also provides feature of creating a timetable so our user will not have to suffer the congested corridors in order to see the timetable on notice board.
