| dc.description.abstract | In our community, where we are surrounded by different technologies. Our blind community always fall behind with the ease of most of these innovations. Blindness is the inability to see anything for the people suffering from blindness. It is difficult for them to recognize things. They always need someone to guide them about different objects. To make them feel independent there is need to develop a device which helps blind people to recognize the objects. eVision is a wearable device which will help a blind person to recognize different objects we see in our daily life through the camera and guide them via earphones. As camera is needed for this purpose so it should be a head mounted device. In such a way we can make a blind person independent and free to move and recognize things. A person can easily move around without leaning on another person. The purpose of this device is to serve the blind community using the concept of head mounted devices. Which comprises of a camera to detect objects in person field of vision. Real time object detection will be performed and headphones are used to guide a person about objects. The ultimate goal is to make a stand-alone device providing assistance to a blind person in performing daily life tasks. | en_US |
