Abstract:
Dyslexia is a condition that makes it hard to learn, read, spell and understand. It occurs when there is a problem with the way the brain processes graphic symbols. Individuals having dyslexia have difficulty in reading and spelling despite having the ability to learn. Individuals with dyslexia possess the ability to learn, but just in a different way. dyslexia are the term used when people have trouble learning to read, even though they are smart and are motivated to learn. Considering the learning problems of dyslexia, we aim to build a tool that would enhance their learning capabilities. As we know that it takes five times more effort to do normal learning tasks. We aim to create such Augmented Reality environment that would speed up the learning process. There are normal tools available for such children but not much work is done using augmented reality. As these people are creative and think differently we assume teaching them in a creative way would increase their learning process. The main purpose of the project is to build a tool that would enhance the learning capabilities of dyslexic children. The reading would be made easy by placing the camera over the text and it will augment a 3D creative model of words. These models will enable the child to recognize different alphabets due to their colors. This project is the building block for an application that would fully remedy dyslexia, solving problems such as writing & enhancing more vocabulary.
