Abstract:
Purpose: This research study is performed with an objective to determine the influence of
job autonomy in determination of employee engagement and creativity in service sector of
Pakistan.
Methodology & Design: This study is quantitative in nature and core focus is to determine
the impact of independent variables i.e. job autonomy on engagement and creativity using
learning goal orientation as mediators. The population of current study is employees working
in services sector in Pakistan that is very large therefore considered and assumed very large
population. Furthermore, different demographics characteristics such as cast, language,
experience, education, thoughts and behavior are also included. This study uses nonprobabilistic sampling technique i.e. convenience sampling technique. The research
instrument selected for current study is close ended questionnaire. Furthermore, correlation
analysis and regression analysis has been used to perform statistical analysis.
Findings: The results of study revealed that there is significant role of job autonomy in
determination of engagement and creativity positively using learning goals orientation as
mediators.
Implications: this study can be used by various managers and employers who are facing
trouble of lower creativity and engagement and they can improve the level of creativity and
employee engagement through using the work of this study by improving job autonomy and
motivating their employees. In which learning goals orientation plays a crucial role.
