dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study is to know the significance difference between the performances of the students, students coming from two different geographical backgrounds like rural and urban areas, and from two different academic backgrounds like English medium and Urdu medium . This study examines the perception of students regarding whether the medium of instruction effect performance of students coming from two different medium of instructions . It is the close ended survey given to round about 500 respondents, which are the students of Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi . The researcher hopes to collect original research data that helps to make recommendations with respect to the response of the students . Questionnaire was the main instrument of the research . It was considered that it consists of each and every query related to the problem statement . The questions asked . to the respondents were close ended. The questionnaires were supposed to be filled by the different classes of the university and the CGPAs of the classes were taken from the examination cell of the university. In the end researcher concluded that medium of instruction plays an important role in the performance of students coming from different medium of instructions. From the last chapter of the analysis of the data and from the interpretation, it was very clear that most of the respondent s of this sample size conclude that the most •Of the time performance differences come only because of change in medium of instructions. en_US
