dc.description.abstract The aim of the present study was to investigate the difference between the self concept of abused women (victims of domestic violence) and non abused women. For the measurement of self concept of both groups questionnaires were distributed to both groups our sample consisted of 80 women i.e. 40 abused and 40 non abused. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study to obtain information from specific target groups i.e the married abused women and non abused women and the results were calculated by the method of frequency distribution. The results indicated that abused women (victims of domestic violence) have low self concept as compared to non abused women. Research in this area of women issues is very important to improve the situation of women in Pakistan. en_US
