Abstract:
Purpose: The main aim of this study is to analyze the impact of supportive working
environment on Employee Retention. This study aims to find out how different variables
impact the employee Retention in different working sectors of Karachi. The variables taken
for the research includes the perceived climate, peer group interaction, perceived
organizational support and supervisory Relationship as Dependent Variables. However the
Dependent Variable is Employee Retention.
Methodology & Design: The nature of the research is Quantitative. The sampling technique
used for this research is Non Probability convenience technique. The collection of data was
done through circulating the structured questionnaire among the employees in multiple
sectors of Karachi city. The sample size was 384. And the data was analyzed through
Correlations and Regression test.
Findings: As per the outcomes there Supervisory relationship, perceived organizational
support and peer group interactions do have impact on employee retention whereas the
perceived climate does not show impact on employee retention.
Implications: Organizations are recommended to focus on providing supportive working environment terms including perceived climate, perceived organizational support, peer group interaction and supervisory relationship to promote Employee Retention in the organization.
The limitations of the research are time was short, cost was limited and the research
limited to city Karachi only.
