| dc.description.abstract | Purpose- The sole purpose of this research is to highlight the issues of engineering personnel of Pakistan Aviation Industry that results in their job Burnout. This study also finds the relationship of Job demands and resources with burnout. This research mainly focuses the engineering personnel of commercial airlines that are P.I.A, Shaheen Air and Aircraft Maintenance Services (SEAMS), Serene Air and Air Blue. Methodology/sample- Close ended questions were used to get responses of the engineering personnel. Questionnaires were sent to different stations and Airlines to get their responses through Google forms and hard copies were also distributed in Karachi Station. This research is of quantitative in nature. The sampling technique used is Simple Random Sampling and the sample size is set to 209 engineering employees. Descriptive analysis, reliability test, correlation and multiple regression tests were run by using SPSS tools for study. Findings- Our results showed that there is positive and significant relatipnship of Job Demands (Role Conflict and Work-Family Conflict) and Job Resources (Lack of Supervisor Support) on Burnout of employees. Implications- This research is specifically done on the engineering department of Pakistan Aviation Industry. There were few variables studied and surveyed that can be beneficial for management and higher authorities to reduce the impact of demands and resources on burnout and to work for the wellbeing of employees who work day and night to achieve organizational goals and timely arrival/departures of aircrafts. This study is helpful for the regulatory authority of Pakistan that is Pakistan Civil Aviation PCAA and the management of airlines to make policies, practices and take corrective actions to provide them optimum resources with the adequate job demands to reduce the frustration level of engineering department, so that they can work effectively and efficiently which will reduce the incidents and accidents. Therefore, it’s recommended to use this research work to reduce burnout and frustration among the engineering personnel and reduce risk of incidents and accidents in Pakistan Aviation Industry. | en_US |
