The study upon, “Critical factors affecting employee retention-a study upon the manufacturing sector of Pakistan” aims to determine the critical elements effecting the employee retention in the manufacturing sector in Pakistan. Even though the study is restricted to only four factors, job security, job satisfaction, work-life balance, and compensation; it has incorporated a vigilant choice of all these four elements. Moreover, the research is also restricted to the manufacturing sector of Pakistan. The sample for the current research consists of around 420 responses from the employees working in the major manufacturing firms situated in Karachi. It has largely depended upon the quantitative technique of data accumulation and is hence restrictive. The research implemented a cross sectional research design. The research gathered primary data by employing a self- administered survey questionnaire. The data is assessed by using multiple regression analysis. The findings of the research reveal that job security is one of the most effectual elements on employee retention because of its removing future anxiety of the workers. Workers with a positive experience associated with job satisfaction have a lesser inclination to abandon their current corporations and bosses. The study also assessed the influence of family and work benefits that consist of childcare information, parental leave on company commitment, childcare assistance, and flexible schedules. The study has put forward the opinion that there is greater commitment towards the organization if workers possess the right to utilize work life strategies and these workers articulated noticeably with lesser intent to abandon their organization. Finally, the study asserts that compensation can be utilized as a critical element for lessening managerial turnover. The research recommends that as the manufacturing industry of Pakistan is one of the fastest growing and largest markets in and donating a huge income source to the country’s advancement, so employee retention is extremely significant in the contemporary business. It will not merely increase the level of productivity but will also enhance their experiences and will permit the Pakistani organizations to attain then- goals. |
