dc.description.abstract | Leadership of a project Manager plays a great role in motivation of project or team employees. Similarly, Motivation on an individual plays vital role in good work performance and in success of a project. Leadership is categorized into three basic types as transformational, transactional and laissez-faire. Knowing the impact of a certain leadership style on employee motivation is important as it can change the motivation level and thus results could alter project success. Construction projects' sector of Lahore is currently contributing a lot in economy growth of Pakistan. No such study was present for Lahore construction projects' sector. Current investigation is conducted for knowledge of this relationship of leadership style and motivation in Lahore construction projects' sector. A qualitative research analysis was conducted and for primary data collection, MLQ was used for leadership style identification whereas WEIMS was used for motivation level study. Analysis was performed and a positive and significant relationship was found between all three leadership styles and motivation. Whereas it was found that transformational leadership has strongest impact while laissez-faire has the weakest impact. | en_US |
