dc.description.abstract The aim of this research paper is to identify the factors that influence the green purchasing practices (GP) in Pakistani restaurants, and to investigate the effects of green procurement adoption on the performance of restaurants. Based on the previous literature of green supply chain practices, online questionnaire was developed for the survey to identify the main factors that influence green procurement adoption and its effect on the restaurant’s performance. The results show that the internal environmental concern, collaboration with suppliers, regulatory and competitive pressure had positive impact on green procurement and its adoption has positive relation with the overall performance of firm. This study examines the effect of adoption of green procurement on various dimensions of restaurants performance which received very little focus in the previous literature. Further, it adds more value to the nascent literature on green purchasing implementation in Pakistan. en_US
