Abstract:
The wireline logs consisting of SP log, Resistivity log, Density log, Sonic log, Neutron log, Gamma ray log and Caliper log were applied to construct a petrophysical model in Rajian oil field, Potwar sub-Basin. Different rock parameters were calculated including shale volume, primary porosity, secondary porosity, total porosity, effective porosity, water saturation, hydrocarbon saturation, porosity and water saturation, net reservoir thickness, permeability, lithology, fracture identification. The parameters so calculated are interpolated manually between the wells using the principles of correlation. The producing reservoirs in Rajian-1 are Khewra Sandstone and Tobra Formation. Daiwal-1 is an exploratory well which is drilled in sub thrust and it proved the presence of second Eocene-Cambrain package. Chorgali Formation has vertical fracture aperture in both wells whereas there is absence of horizontal fracture aperture in both Rajian-1 and Daiwal-1. Sakesar Limestone is devoid of horizontal and vertical fracture apertures in both Rajian-1 and Daiwal-1. Structural correlation confirms the presence of thrust fault. Stratigraphic correlation does not show any lateral variation at the time of deposition of Paleocene rock sequence from Cambrian to Paleocene. Stratigraphic correlation shows the pinching of Chinji Formation and Nagri Formation form SE to NW. Stratigraphic correlation also shows variation in thickness of Murree Formation
