dc.description.abstract The basic aim of this research is to investigate the in-depth impact of Ramadan and financial crisis on the herding behavior in Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The research endeavors to conclude how the two variables which are Ramadan and financial crisis creates impact on a market practice which is herding behavior by acquiring the datafrom 2014 to 2018. The model of regression suggested by Chang et al., (J Bank Finance 24:1651-1679, 2000) used by this study to investigate the herd behavior. A mixture of explanatory and descriptive research has been employed by this research. The unit of analysis used by this research is the listed companies on Pakistan Stock Exchange. For research purpose each of the listed company on Pakistan Stock Exchange stands for a part of the target population. With the help of simple random techniques of sampling, 101 listed companies from Pakistan Stock Exchange have been drawn. To evaluate the data and to run different tests like Coefficient Descriptive statistics, Standard Deviation and Mean, Pearson's Correlation, Linear Regression Analysis, Microsoft Excel Worksheet has been used. It has been discovered by the outcomes of the research that the herding behavior is absent during the month of Ramadan. Whereas with the help of daily stock prices it is concluded that the herding behavior existed during the period of crisis which is 2018 due to increased information irregularities. en_US
