dc.description.abstract The research evaluates CSR by assessing its ethical dimensions; Social Legitimacy, Public Responsibility and Managerial Discretion. It studies the role of implementation of CSR Ethical Responsibility in influencing Global Supply Chain Effectiveness. It outlines and explores the CSR ethical dimension in the supply chain context by adapting two conceptualizations including; Carroll's (1979) and Wood's (1991). This synthesized framework was used to examine the manufacturing industry of Pakistan by targeting the following companies; Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL), FPCL Power Company Limited, Vantibol Tiboli, Hashah, Hashoo, Gkhair, Samson, KRL, Navy and Engro Foods. We used quota sampling to gather data. Total of 150 questionnaires were forwarded online. SPSS software was used to analyze the four hypotheses developed in the study by using correlation and regression tests. The findings of the research showed that Social Legitimacy and Public Responsibility had a positive impact on CSR Ethical Responsibility and Managerial Discretion had no impact on CSR Ethical Responsibility. Reporting played a significant role in the relation between CSR and Supply Chain Effectiveness. The study provides direction to the practitioners and researchers for future studies and delivers a detailed understanding of the connections between Ethical CSR, dimensions, Reporting and Global Supply Chain Effectiveness. Research was restricted to Karachi only. en_US
