Impact Of Inventory Control Management And Supply Chain Management Practices On Organizational Performance Of Serena Hotel

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the way inventory control management and supply chain management practices can be used for costs savings in Serena Hotel Islamabad. As hotel manages and operates their properties, it should focus on several aspects such as logistics management, inventory management, information technology, procurement and distribution, lean and green supply chain practices. The study will focus on studying inventory control and supply chain management system of Serena Hotel and how various practices have been used to reduce costs and the competitive advantage of supply chain in the hotel industry as for as Pakistani perspective is concerned. This will help Serena hotel decide on the best combination of practices to implement in their operations. The final recommendation is a study that should to be conducted to explore the organizational size and logistics and supply chain structure to examine the impact on supply chain practices and competitive advantage. This study recommends that the supply chain concept should be addressed with great concern in Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The management of Serena Hotel believes lack of understanding the supply chain management concept has derailed adoption of supply chain in Pakistan.
