Abstract:
Work stress has become a major topic for practitioners and researchers since the beginning of the 20th century. It is found that work-related stress or work overload has a negative impact on job performances as well as employee’s psychological and physical well-being which eventually affect the profitability and functioning of organizations.Stress and work-overload are major challenges in most of the organizations in terms of health and safety. Moreover, work stress is a fundamental reason for working days lost. Therefore, the aim of this study is to critically examine the impact of work overload on employee’s well-being. For this purpose, the researcher selected three Islamabad based organizations and conducted survey to accomplish the aim of this research study. Close-ended questionnaires have been used to collect quantifiable data. Measures Structured questionnaire was involved in data collection. All constructs were measured using convenience sampling. All the responses were accessed by using a 5-point Likert-scale ranging from 1= strongly agree to 5= strongly disagree. Furthermore, the researcher used convenience sampling and the respondents have been selected randomly from selected organizations.
