dc.description.abstract The purpose of this research was to find out the Impact of SCM practices on Perceived Service Quality of the Public and Private Hospitals of Pakistan. It is believed that the healthcare services provided by Pakistani Hospitals lack quality. Patients prefer to go to private hospitals due to lack of proper implementations and understanding of SCM practices in Public Hospitals. This study is descriptive in nature. This involves quantifiable data which was gathered through a survey questionnaire. The data was gathered from a sample population of two hundred, who had experienced with the hospitals or healthcare sector in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Expert sampling is used as sampling technique, in expert sampling samples are collected from individuals who possess adequate knowledge both in the area of SCM practices and healthcare sector operations. In this research Non- probability and convenient selection approach was also used. It is such a sampling method in which respondents for the research are nominated based on their availability and convenience to have access. The results of this research confirm that there is significant impact of SCM Practices on Service Quality of Public and Private Hospitals of Pakistan. All the components or independent variables of this study are observed useful and showed a significant impact with a significance value less than 0.05, on dependent variable which is Service Quality. The findings resulting from this research will help the owners of Private Hospitals, doctors, employees, policy makers and government of Pakistan to implement effective policies and eliminate those causes which are resulting in a lack of quality of services and improve the SCM practices in healthcare. en_US
