Factors Affecting Supply Chain Management Of Furniture Retail Industry In Rawalpindi And Islamabad

Abstract

This study is to examine the impact of factors (planning, quality, sourcing, and time delivery) on supply chain management within furniture industry of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. In this study, our focus was mainly on identifying the impact relationship that exist amongst factors (planning, quality, sourcing, and time delivery) and supply chain management within furniture industry of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. To prove the relationship between dependent variable (supply chain management) and independent variables (planning, quality, sourcing, and time delivery), a structured questionnaire has been used to collect data from the officials associated with the furniture industry of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Based on the data collected from the respondents through structured questionnaire, several hypothesis tests were applied. Results of those hypothesis tests have clearly indicated that there exists a positive relationship between dependent variable (planning, quality, sourcing, and time delivery) and supply chain management within furniture industry of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Some statistical instruments such as descriptive frequencies, reliability test, correlation, regression, ANOVA, were used by the researcher to conduct this study. Finally, it can be said that factors such as planning, quality, sourcing, and time delivery, tend to have a strong positive effect on the supply chain management within furniture industry of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
