dc.description.abstract The topic for thesis is impact of motivation and empowerment directly on employee turnover intentions & indirectly through affective commitment. The independent variable is motivation and empowerment and dependent variable is employee turnover intentions and mediating role of affective commitment. The relationship has been checked of motivation and empowerment on affective commitment and also on employee turnover intentions plus affective commitment relationship with employee turnover intentions. Out of the many telecom organizations only Mobilink and Zong have been chosen as both of them largest service providers in term of telecom. Employees of these two organizations were approached for data collection for the purpose of this study in twin cities.About 350 questionnaires were distributed among employees of Mobilink and Zong on of which only 321 were accepted. The sample size this research was 321. It is concluded that motivation and empowerment have a significant impact on employee turnover intensions and affective commitment plays a mediating role for employees in telecom sector of Pakistan. The organization should adopt and develop such methods of appraisals that increase their motivational level and eventually lead to high productivity. When employees feel that their job is permanent, they feel motivated and satisfied and employee loyalty towards that organization increases as the employees owns that organization and work like he is working in his own organization en_US
