dc.description.abstract | Lack of health facilities is a huge problem for the rural population as satisfactory health facilities are all concentrated in urban centers, thus leaving a huge population for quacks and general physicians.. Due to the unavailability of specialized doctors in underdeveloped areas, patients lose their time in visits to the clinics who fail to diagnose the problem. Many patients could have been cured or could receive better treatment had they got to hospital in time.We developed CardioCare in order to facilitate the people residing in the underdeveloped areas with less or no medical facilities. It accurately records the ECG of the patient, analyze the ECG data for Atrial Fibrillation detection and transmit the data directly to the cardiologist. The wireless ECG sensor is capable of retrieving inputs from eight bio-potential channels. The android application is capable of acquiring the patient information along with the patient’s picture, display the ECG data and analyze for Atrial Fibrillation disorder. The website consists of a dashboard for the doctor whereby he can login and view the data received from the application from anywhere through internet. He immediately can prescribe treatment and suggestions for the patient which can be read on the application. This project has the capability to be benefial not just for patients but also for the doctors and the medical staff when dealing with cardiovascular diseases. | en_US |
