dc.description.abstract The aim of the study was to develop a smart parking system using Wireless sensor networks (WSN) that are now used in almost all fields for different application such as Monitoring a marine life in oceans, health monitoring, object inspection, smart homes sensor based system, and automotive and locomotive industry. After the study of many systems, we have designed the wireless sensor network based car parking system using Xbee module. The Xbee modules are configured as a star network in which the first node is the receiving node and transmitter node whereas rest of nodes act as a transmitter. In this project we have used time division multiple access. The transmitter node send the data after a specific interval of time and the receiving node receive the data without any collision of data between two transmitting nodes. The Arduino is used as the main brain of each node. We have used HC-06 RF module which will communicate with graphical user interface wirelessly via Bluetooth protocol. We have designed the GUI in visual studio software. en_US
