dc.description.abstract This study investigates the factors which affect the implementation of sustainable public procurement in the Pakistan Railways. Using the perspective of Pakistan Railways, this study examines how three organizational factors like commitment, expertise and top management support affect the sustainable procurement process. A questionnaire is floated to the procurement professionals working at different levels. The different statistics tools are used to get the results. The results reveals that commitment and expertise of the procurer have a significant impact on the sustainable procurement while the other factor, top management support, have no significance impact on the sustainable procurement. But, if we combine the top management support and commitment factors then they will jointly affect the sustainable procurement process. This study aimed to contribute to the academic scholars, government agencies and public procurement practitioner in enhancing their understanding and implementation of the sustainable procurement practices in their organizations. en_US
