Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to determine that how communication plan can impact the project outcome in construction projects. Communication is the integral factor that determines project’s success, it’s the one knowledge area that integrates with the nine other project management areas into their best combination to produce the most quality oriented outcome. In this research the impact of having a through and proper project communication plan on project success with mediating effect of the project communication is considered. Construction projects usually are massively huge due to the involvement of multiple parties. These complex projects are to be dealt with effective and error free communication to pass the message in letter and spirit. Construction project are facing challenges due to the barriers of communication, size and complexity of the projects regardless of expansion of this specific industry. Extensive literature review is carried out, keeping in mind the complexity and volume of work and complexity of the projects involved. Furthermore, the framework of communication that can deliver timely and needed information to the right person is also analyzed in detail for complex construction projects. This research has its focus on aspects that can improve communication, identify short comings and finally suggesting/providing solutions for success of the project in construction sector.
